The School of Discipleship is designed to minister to those desiring a deeper, committed relationship with God demonstrated in their pursuit of knowing Him and making Him known. We accomplish this by focusing on three critical areas in a believer's life: Head, Heart, and Hands. We develop this through classroom instruction, monthly outreach, weekly service, and meeting with a mentor twice a month.
Who:
-Application for the school is open to anyone who is going into their senior year of high school or older
-No matter where you are in your walk with God, this school is for you!
Commitment:
-1-year program
-Two, 12-week semesters of weekly classes 9am Sundays at Ridgeline
-Monthly local outreach ministry
-Weekly serving in Ridgeline Community Church
-Weekly meeting with a mentor
HEAD
-1 hour long class 9am Sundays at Ridgeline Community Church
-Fall semester begins Sunday after Labor Day (Sept 7) and ends first Sunday of December (Dec 7)
-Springs semester begins first Sunday of February (Feb 1) and ends first Sunday of May (May 3)
-In the Fall semester, we will be covering Old Testament Survey
-In the Spring semester, we will be covering New Testament Survey
HEART
-1 hour minimum meeting with a mentor, twice a month (during semester months) for spiritual growth and accountability
HANDS
-1 hour minimum weekly serving in the church
-1 outreach minimum per month serving in a community service-based organization like, Aging Resources, Help & Hope Center, Denver Rescue Mission, etc...
Cost:
-$125 per person for entire year. $50 deposit due with application and the remaining $75 when applicant receives official acceptance into the institution. This covers books and materials necessary for classroom instruction.
