Interested in getting baptized? That’s awesome! We would love to be part of this important step in your life.
Here are a couple of things to know about baptism at Ridgeline:
1. We practice what is called “believer’s baptism” which means that we only baptize individuals who have made a personal decision to put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We do not baptize infants or children too young to have made a personal decision (but we do offer child dedications). However, we do not have a “minimum” age requirement. If you have a young child that you believe has made a genuine faith decision to trust in Jesus and who wants to be baptized, we are would be happy to have a short conversation with your child just so we can share your confidence before going forward with the baptism.
2. We practice full immersion baptism which means that individuals getting baptized are lowered quickly into a small pool and then raised immediately back out. We do not baptize by sprinkling or pouring water unless there are physical reasons why this might be required.
That’s about it! If you want to have Pastor Brian contact you about being baptized at an upcoming worship service, please fill out this short form and he’ll be in touch right away!
